A Life of Love & Service
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba (23 November 1926 – 24 April 2011) was a spiritual teacher, educator and philanthropist whose mission was the spiritual and moral regeneration of humanity.
He founded numerous educational and medical institutions across India — all free of charge — reflecting His core teaching that service to humanity is service to God.
Among His greatest gifts is the network of Sri Sathya Sai Hospitals — including SSSIHMS Whitefield — where the finest medical care is given freely to all who come, embodying His vision that the poor and the privileged deserve equal care, given with equal love.

Doctors should serve the poor with a spirit of sacrifice. There is no greater service than this. As man is the embodiment of God, it is his primary duty to help the destitute and the forlorn. Medicine should not be commercialised.
