A Half-Century of Service

The Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital, Whitefield began serving the local community in 1976 — twenty-five years before the super-specialty Institute opened its doors. What started as a modest general hospital has grown into a multi-specialty facility covering ophthalmology, obstetrics & gynaecology, orthopaedics, ENT, general medicine, paediatrics, general surgery and dental care.

Since 1976 the general hospital has performed more than 51,000 multi-specialty surgeries — every one of them free of charge — while its outpatient clinics continue to serve the surrounding communities every day.
